News: LEAP working to help homeowners save on energy bills (Hearthwood)

The Local Energy Alliance Program, or LEAP, is helping homeowners lower their energy bills ahead of winter.

The organization kicked off a month-long project Friday to make 200 units of the Hearthwood Apartments, just off Hydraulic Road, more energyefficient.

Most of the work will include installing insulation and upgrading light bulbs.

“We’re going to come into some pretty cold months,” said Leslie Fore, the associate director of LEAP. “They’re going to be a lot warmer. they’re going to be saving a lot on their electric bill. and they’re going to be healthier, and safer in their homes.”
