News: Cville apartment complex increases its energy efficiency

Some Charlottesville residents are getting a lesson in energy efficiency. The residents of the Midway Manor Apartment Complex participated in a light bulb exchange on Thursday. The apartment complex just finished a $500,000 energy retrofit with help from LEAP, the Local Energy Alliance Program. Each tenant had the opportunity to exchange one incandescent light bulb for a free energy-efficient CFL bulb. Switching to CFL bulbs will help increase the energy efficiency of the homes.
